Granada is the capital of the province of Granada and is in the eastern part of the region of Andalusia. It has a coastal area with its warm climate and beautiful beaches contrasting with the the mountainous regions with a colder
climate, where the 3,481 meter Mulhacén is situated. It is the biggest peak on the
peninsula of Spain. The city of Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra
Nevada mountains which boast fantastic scenery and skiing opportunities during the winter. |
