The Pyrenees is a range of mountains located in southwest Europe, it creates a natural border between France and Spain and separates the Iberian Peninsula from the rest of continental Europe.
The main crest forms a massive divider between France and Spain, with the tiny Principality of Andorra situated in between. Catalonia and Navarre have historically extended on both sides of the mountain range, with small northern portions now in France and much larger southern parts now in Spain.
The scenery in this area is truly spactcular. There are a large number of mountain torrents locally called gaves and they often form huge waterfalls, which are only surpassed in Europe by those of Scandinavia.
We will take off from the center of this wide valley of the Pyrenees, enjoying the privileged view of the frenchPyrenees in one side, the Cadi mountains in the other one, and the Canigó .
