Catral is located in the province of Alicante in the region of Vega Baja del Segura.
It is near to the towns of Dolores and Almoradi. Alicante and Murcia Airports are only a half an hour drive away.
It has been largely unspoilt by the
British invasion of the Costa Blanca and is peaceful and tranquil, away
from the hustle and bustle. The town is surrounded by beautiful
countryside and farmland. The main crops grown in this region are
citrus fruit, aratichokes, cereals and olive trees. The olive trees are
cultivated in orchards that are irrigated by canals containing water
from the Segura river.
Guardamar and La Marina beaches are nearby. La Marina beach is surrounded by a public nature park. |
